S & S Camelid Co. is owned and operated by Dr. Sandy Savage & Dennis Stearns. We are located on the beautiful shores of Lake Ann on 25 acres just south of Howard Lake, MN, minutes west of the twin cities. Our love of farm life is enhanced by raising and breeding these lovely, noble yet comical animals. I'm an emergency medicine doc, Dennis a television photojournalist. We have a part time Irish band "Big Spud Daddy".

I'm originally a farm girl, Dennis a city boy. When I announced I'd like to move back to a farm, Dennis was a bit alarmed (he did have a pet turtle in childhood). He adapted quite well and now LOVES the solitude and peacefulness of our little farm. I wanted critters which were easy to care for, calm, yet a good investment....so it only made sense to explore the camelid world. We started with a few geldings, and expanded into the breeding world of alpacas and llamas. We both work full time jobs, yet enjoy the time we spend to care for our alpacas and llamas.
